JACK DANIEL’S LAUNCHES SECOND RYE WHISKY EXPRESSION

A follow up from the 2012 launch of an Unaged Tennessee Rye Jack Daniels has now released “Jack Daniel’s Rested Tennessee Rye” a limited edition at 40 % abv marks the distillery’s first barrel-matured expression in the rye category and is now available in the US. Jeff Arnett the Jack Daniel’s Master Distiller said “We felt it was time for our Jack Daniel’s friends and whisky enthusiasts alike to see for themselves how the new oak barrel has enhanced the rye whiskey over the past two years.” He mentioned how pleased they were with the reception we received from the unaged rye.

The Jack Daniel’s Rested Rye is crafted from 70 % rye, 18 % corn and 12 % malted barley and is described as having “complex notes” of vanilla, caramel, fruit and rye spice.
The rested rye will be in750 ml bottles at select US outlets at a little under $50 per bottle.
